Absolutely not. Our oldest participant so far was 74, and we welcome everyone aged 16 and up. Safety is at the core of everything we do, and our courses always bring together sailors of different ages and levels. No one gets left behind — we make sure everyone in the group feels safe and confident before we move on.

It's one of the most common concerns we hear — and one of the least warranted. Over the years we have taught more than 6,100 participants, each with their own learning style, pace and starting point. Our instructors are experienced and genuinely good teachers: they are happy to explain again, answer every question and meet you where you are. We will never push you to do anything you don't feel ready for — but if you want a challenge, we'll make sure you get one.

Not at all. Once you have completed a course, you can keep sailing with us on evening sessions and sometimes at weekends, paying per session. No boat ownership, no big commitment — just sailing, when it suits you.

Most people who take our courses — in Stockholm and in Greece — come on their own, so you're in good company from the start. Couples are a close second, and we have plenty of groups of friends and families too. However you arrive, you'll quickly feel like part of the crew.

For almost everyone, the basic course is the right place to start — even if you have sailed a little before. It's easy to underestimate how much there actually is to learn, and most participants find that everything really falls into place during the basic course. You leave with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of sailing rather than a feeling of having missed something along the way.

We're happy to suggest places to stay nearby. Airbnb usually works well, and there is also a Scandic hotel in Täby.

Courses are rarely cancelled because of the weather. If needed, we adjust the schedule or change the course day — we always find a solution.

Bring your own lunch and snacks to courses in Viggbyholm. Coffee and tea are on us during the day, and there is a microwave available. Water, sparkling water and soft drinks can be bought on site.
